We are a team of designers that offer customized design consultancy services and inputs to a broad spectrum of clients, which include - Home textile manufacturers, fashion retailers, Interior Design, and Lifestyle brands. Our head designer, JLX, has over two decades of experience in the global home textile industry across market segments in five continents - from boutiques retailer to departmental store chains.
We understand the whole spectrum - the challenges of creating a new product/design and the market in which it is sold. We offer design and product development that includes - bespoke design development, new collections, trend analyzing, artworks, training, styling, and more - all facets that deliver the Best Selling product. Our expertise is setting up full-fledged design studios and integrating them into the larger company. We also are open to collaborating with enterprises or individual makers, artists, and designers.
We work across various mediums in textiles - woven, printed, and embroidery. We have also designed and worked on - wallpaper, personal accessories, womenswear, furnishing fabric, table linen, kitchen linen, bedding, drapes, pillows, furniture, and decorative accessories.

2017 Onwards
We have established an innovation center for a leading home textile manufacturer and exporter from scratch. This project, with international recognition and good review, materialized in two years from the plan, physical infrastructure, staffing, systems, and training.

Designing a new product range and establishing a solid vendor base to deliver the same was a short project for another leading export house of high design repute.

2017 Onwards
Design project for a leading high-end lifestyle brand spanned over a year and a half designing a product range spanning art, decorative accessories, wallpaper, textile, and furniture. Over time, store VM and styling were done alongside mentoring young talent and integrating them into leadership roles.

Our work sells across continents in high-end and mass-market retail stores and online platforms. We work with some leading manufacturers and the best brands and stores through them. We have helped companies create new product ranges and expand the scope of their business.

2018 Onwards
We run a successful decorative pillow line for a global chain of stores. The range has grown into table linen also. It is currently selling under six retail brands on three continents. This project is done in association with our manufacturing partner.

2019
Munupi, an aboriginal artist collective from Australia, had commissioned us to make a range of textile merchandise like bags, T-shirts, and home linen with their signature art. The entire collection was designed, and a capsule collection of products were delivered.

2019-2020
We collaborated with a regional film director to design a range of costumes for a yet-to-release Kannada feature film. The project required thorough groundwork to pivot the clothes in the proper context without interfering with VFX, as the story timeline is set in the future.

2021
JLX Studio curated and designed an exhibition for Porgai, a collective of tribal women artisans. The exhibition showcased the collective’s repertoire, craft revival, products, livelihood, and holistic development. We designed the key display devices. The village craftspeople made them with vernacular techniques using locally harvested bamboo, dried grass, and fallen tree trunks. No readymade equipment was used for fancy construction. Thanks to the modular and self-supporting display modules and devices we designed, this exhibition can now travel places.
